Drive Big Truck Load And Un Load
What you’ll do
- Safe Operation: Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, strictly following all state and federal regulations.
- Equipment Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs) to ensure equipment is in top working order (Compliant with 49 CFR § 396.11 and § 396.13).
- Load Management: Properly load, tarp, secure, and unload aggregate materials, managing axle weights and load distribution to ensure compliance with bridge laws (Compliant with 49 CFR Part 393).
- Site Navigation: Navigate tight, unpaved, and active construction sites with extreme situational awareness.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery tickets, scale slips, and ELD/Hours of Service logs (Compliant with 49 CFR Part 395).
What you’ll bring
- Valid Class A CDL: Must possess a valid commercial driver's license issued by the state of Arizona (Per 49 CFR § 383.23).
- English Proficiency: Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records (Per 49 CFR § 391.11(b)(2)).
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (at least 2 year operating dump trucks, Super 16s, or belly dumps highly preferred) (Ensures compliance with general driver qualifications under 49 CFR Part 391).
- Clean Driving Record: No major violations in the past 5 years and a highly acceptable MVR (Evaluated per 49 CFR § 391.15).
- Medical Card: Must hold a current and valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Per 49 CFR § 391.41).
- Transmission: Must be proficient in operating 10, 13, or 18-speed manual transmissions.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to repeatedly climb in and out of the cab, lift up to 50 lbs, and manually tarp loads (Supports the physical qualification standards of 49 CFR § 391.41).
- Drug-Free: Must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen, and consent to random testing (Per 49 CFR Part 382 and Part 40).
Preferred qualifications
- Doubles/Triples (T) or Tanker (N) endorsements.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor field troubleshooting.
